A very handy plane. Faster to set up than a router and more fun to use and safer than a using a dado cutter on teh table saw to make rabbets. Patterned after the Stanley 78 this plane can be used to make rabbets with or across the grain.
* Round nicker (cutting spur) for scoring the grain ahead of the blade in cross grain cuts * 3/32" thick blade is lever adjusted in the rabbet position, and can be repositioned on the front end of the plane for bullnose work * Adjustable depth stop can be positioned for up to 1/2" depth of cut, and the single post fence can be installed on either side * 1-1/2" wide blade, 8-1/2" sole, 10" overall length
